Sublimation Printing

Custom Sublimation Printing

Sublimation printing is a method of printing that is typically used for athletic jerseys and uniforms. It’s done by imprinting your design straight into the fabric, which allows for an all-over print that doesn't fade or crack. Because your design is printed directly on the fabric before your garment is constructed, custom sublimation prints are among the most versatile options for personalized apparel. You can completely tailor every inch of your garment to suit your vision. Browse our custom sublimation print options today!

Benefits of Sublimation Printing

Sublimation printing works well for athletic jerseys.

  • Sublimation works extremely well for custom jerseys because the print can not be felt and remains flexible. Sublimation also allows the printed fabric to maintain its moisture-wicking qualities. All of our jerseys can be printed with individual names and numbers to personalize them for your whole team.

Unlimited design creativity

  • Unlike other printing methods, sublimation printing can be done on all areas of the jersey. For instance, with sublimation printing, you can have a custom repeating background on the jersey.

Limitations of Sublimation Printing

Color matching is difficult.

  • Due to the nature of sublimation printing, colour matching is an extremely difficult process. If you are looking for exact matches for colours, sublimation may not be the best method of printing.

High design expertise.

  • With sublimated designs, we require customers to complete a sublimation template. In order to design the template, it typically requires advanced knowledge of artwork software such as Adobe Illustrator. We would be more than happy to guide you with this process if you contact us.

Slow and expensive.

  • Because of the nature of the sublimation process, every garment must be made from scratch and sewn from panels. Because of this lengthy process, sublimation can be an expensive print method compared to screen printing or other methods.

Is custom sublimation printing expensive?

Sublimation is more time-consuming and costly than other printing options, such as screen printing, DTF printing, or embroidery, but it makes up for it with its ability to fully customize your piece. You can find pricing listed on each individual product page.

Is sublimation printing better than Direct to Film (DTF)?
