Amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Coastal Reign felt compelled to contribute to our community's well-being. While we may not have been healthcare experts, we recognized that we could leverage our expertise in crafting top-notch custom prints and apparel for a good cause. To show our support, Coastal Reign produced Vancouver Strong merchandise and dedicated all proceeds to the BC Centre for Disease Control Foundation. In addition, we extended a helping hand to small local businesses by offering a platform to print and sell merchandise at no cost to them. With each product purchase, $10 of the proceeds were directed toward supporting these businesses, aimed at providing them support during the challenging times of the pandemic
COVID-19: Big ideas could save small businesses in troubling times by Denise Ryan
Coastal Reign Apparel is making the best of a bad situation by helping other small businesses stay afloat. Eddison Ng, and his partner Boaz Chan, both 24, have launched #VancouverStrong, an initiative to help the small-business community they serve. “Our business is down about 50 per cent (since COVID-19),” said Ng. “But we’ve been able to keep our employees working.” Many of the clients they served could not. So they launched a platform to support small businesses, and raise money for the B.C. Centre for Disease Control Foundation. For any local small business that is struggling, Coastal Reign will print merchandise like T-shirts, hoodies and baseball caps, and set up an online store where the public can make a purchase. “Ten dollars from every item sold goes directly to support that business,” said Ng.
